I've been so busy with school that I haven' had the time to:
a) make new dresses or
b) take pictures of the ones I did have the opportunity to make!
So, this becomes a two in one post. Introducing... Miss Covy
She features the bodice of McCall's M6518 and a self-drafted single-seam circle skirt. I made her in an afternoon after the original dress I made turned out to be a major fail. MAJOR FAIL. This actually turned out to be a good decision. I have made this dress a few times and I have yet to add the ruffle. I love the shape of the neck line and the princess seaming.
This is the dress in what my cousin calls "Sound of Music Drapes Dress"....
And now to introduce Bad Romance ...
This is a variation of McCall's M5927 pattern. I decided to leave off the tabs and stud the neckline and pockets. At first, I wanted to do a lot more studs on the neckline, but I decided to just go with five across the top row. I got the studs from M&J Trimming and I'm so excited about how this dress turned out that I might stud some more things!
That's all for now.
